AMD one click and Fuel Pump Failure....

Featured Replies

Good evening people .

Have a problem with my car after using the One click system for about 1 year.

Come off the motorway , to a junction put my foot down to accelter The car cut out and would not re start. After a few turns i noticed the fuel pump was not Making it normal sound Silence!! Car did try to fire but not joy:confused:

Straight away removed the Remap off the ecu. still the same .

Has the remap put strain on the fuel pump in the tank??

WIll the garage be able to tell ive remap it?

cheers

Car has only done 24 K !!!

Car less for BANK HOILDAY :( :thumbdwn:

The fuel pump in the tank is only a low pressure lift pump. Id be suprised if that is the cause of the fault.

Dont know just no noise from the rear of the car when u turn the key.

So im thinking it got to be some thing like that . Is there a Fuse or Relay?

Car in garage anyway awaiting to be fixed Tuesday :(

And i got NO lights on dash. NOTHING !

So any ideas before i get back in touch with the garage ??

Fuel

Fuel pump

what else?

Cant see it having anything to do with the remap.

Car in garage anyway awaiting to be fixed Tuesday latest then wont ever they fine :(

I'd be interested to find out what the longer term effects of a remap are. But the difficult bit would be attributing the fault directly to the remap' date=' because the fault may have occurred anyway!

But what on earth does this statement mean? I've read it half a dozen times now but still can't make head nor tail of it! "[i']Car in garage anyway awaiting to be fixed Tuesday latest then wont ever they fine[/i]". I can translate that the car is currently in a garage, scheduled to be fixed on Tuesday, but whatever does the rest of the statement mean?

My PD130 has been remapped from new and now has 125k with no failures whatsoever. Ive heard those pumps can fail remapped or not.

I Hope it is the pump aas i say No noise from the back of the car on start up.

My previous car was a Picasso turbo diesel....the fuel pump failed the day after the warrenty ran out!!

Common fault on the citroens was the pump seizing up...the AA guy said that a good hit on the bottom of the tank sometimes restarted them again....this worked enough to get me home...I was 200 miles away at the time

A mates PD130 Passat has just encountered the same problem as yours, wont start and no pump noise in the tank, awaiting diagnosis but looking like the lift pump in the tank.

If the car is towed it will start but with low power and missing and will only start with a tow becasue the flow of fuel is reduced.
