Variable service cost

Silver 1011,

Purely out of interest, are those current service prices you've pasted above ? My first annual (minor) service last July was £179 and there's no mention of a pollen filter change on my invoice.

The pollen filter is normally changed at the 2nd( major) service.:thumbup:That was 29,000 miles and 28 months on my Octavia.

@shyVRS245   So did you mean 'Normally done @ The 1st Major Service'?  ie 2 years.

But mine was at the 2nd.

Where did you get @ maybe 4 years from, or maybe around 36-40,000  miles?

Lease cars or those traded in might be running on an original filter a year on from the 1st MOT in the UK.

No wonder there are so many steamy window threads on this forum.

The UK Service Recommendations is at 2 years which was the 2nd service for Fixed servicing and a Major Service.

So the 1st Major Service.    You can do sooner.

Some Dealers with Minor / Major servicing for Fixed Servicing did not do it 1st or 2nd service and did it at the 3rd, a Minor Service.

Many do as it is location location location type thing, Some do it annually, or remove, vacuum, clean and disinfect the area.
