Why are these screens different?

Featured Replies

Today I have seen two 20I7 SE L Octavias. The first one is a 1.4 TSI, The second one 1.5TSI. The screens look different.

Can anybody tell me if there is any difference in between them, and if one is better than the other.

Thank you

Hi,

the top pic is of the newer MIB2.5 the lower will be a MIB2. the 2.5 has more options and features

The top one is a MIB2.5 Columbus which has a hard drive, full 3D mapping with animated landmark buildings, the larger 9.2 inch screen and gesture controls. The bottom one is a MIB2.5 Amundsen which is the standard unit. Has nav maps on an SD card and doesn’t have true 3D maps (has a 3D mode though) and has the 8 inch screen.

For me, the biggest flaw on the Columbus (the upgrade Nav in the top photo), is the loss of the physical knobs.  The bottom car looks to have front parking sensors, I would personally prefer them to the Nav upgrade.  The bottom one also looks to have heated seats.
