Wheels

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2006 Skoda Octavia an I recently bought a set of 17” Monte Carlo wheels and looking to put them on my Octavia the wheels I have on the Octavia are 5x112 but the Monte Carlo wheels are 5x100 is there any ways around this?

No,  cannot use 112mm bolt diameter on 100mm hubs, the bolts won't line up, sorry

All you can do is sell the wheels to someone who uses the smaller bolt spacing (which is on smaller cars like Fabia, roomster, Kamiq and Mk1 Octavia) but need to check the offset (ET) and spindle size if they are going to fit

EDIT : they will also fit various VW and Seat cars

Thanks very much

Take a look at the back of the alloy rims. There is useful information for potential buyers, such as 7Jx17 ET45 5/100 57.1

The Skoda part number should be on the back of each alloy rim.

You might need a magnifying glass as the details can be quite small.

If they are 7J rims, then these could be ideal for a 225/45R17 tyre to fit the Skoda Octavia MK1.

They look like they might have 205/40R17 tyres on suitable for the Skoda Fabia. I would much rather have a lot more sidewall such as 185/65R15 tyres on 6Jx15 ET35 5/100 57.1 steel rims.

Steel Rims that would fit Skoda Fabia 6Jx15 ET35 5/100 57.1

You can get many of the latest big brand tyres in size 185/65R15 at low cost...it's one of the cheapest tyre sizes...such as Michelin Primacy 4, Continental PremiumContact 6, Continental WinterContact TS860. for about £50 each and have a really nice ride. I just missed a 6" deep pothole today...I doubt that 205/40R17 would have survived the hit.

@Carlston They are for a Fabia Monte Carlo so not surprising the have the tyres suitable for a Monte Carlo Fabia and the OEM size.

So around 6,000 of those were sold in the UK with that tyre size, and 2,900 Mk2 Fabia vRS.

Try to avoid potholes, it is 'Simply Clever'.

@Butch21

Just £5 to advertise on BRISKODA and you should have no problem selling them.

As well as it being usually easy to sell a set, if you can be bothered there are people that look for singles to use as a Spare wheel as not all Mke Fabia with that wheel / tyres came with a spare wheel.
