Inner car door handle has broken off 2017 fabia

Featured Replies

Just getting home open the car door and the inner handle has broken off

Dealer just told me that this isn’t a Design fault problem or a warranty covered thing and that I must be too heavy handed . Then blamed the wind .

offered part at cost price and discounted labour costs .

Good try, you have to admire them.

After me refusing to back down and telling them that I’m not heavy handed and there was no wind and that paying even a discounted bill didn’t really seem right when the car is less than three years old ...hey presto they did it under warranty without the need to contact Skoda warranty !
( though the first instance was that Skoda warranty would want photos and then would say it’s not a warranty issue )

So much better customer service to have just done this in the first place but door now fixed .... just too flippin scared to use it now !! Gently does it 😂😳🤦🏼‍♀️

Ah well a result for what should never have happened, and when it did, should have been handled a lot better, maybe that dealer just likes making money out of ignoring warranty claims as by doing that improves their workshop revenues?
