Abandoned classic cars in a tunnel!

Featured Replies

I'll take the Lotus and the Golf, if they're going... :)

I'm assuming this Dingle Tunnel, Liverpool, part of the old Overhead Railway?

Shame...   Some of those are definitely salvageable

I use to live in Liverpool and have been down in the tunnel and did have some work done by the garage down there. They were great and would undertake work that others did not want to do.

I was working on a V8 powered Bedford CF and needed a Ventura crown wheel and pinion putting in the CF rear axle they were happy to do it.

I had a CF money pit in the late 70's, a 2.3 petrol engine, thirsty beast, did about 18 to the gallon in a good week.

Some of those are pretty nice motors potentially.

I'd have thought the Defenders would be well worth salvaging the prices they are going for now,
