electric front windows not working after water pump went.

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

My 07 Plate Roomster had its water pump go a few years ago. Almost immediately after the front electric windows stopped working as did my wing mirrors. Then for no obvious reason the windows only would start working again the stop. This has been intermittent situation for a few years however the last year they just stopped working altogether as did my wing mirrors also stopped working.

Decided to look through the threads and see what what I could do to try and fix it .

Drivers door I found 10 broken wires in the loom which I extended and repaired. My wing mirrors are now fully functional. I've changed the fuses for the electric windows as well and still no joy. I'm guessing when my water pump went and soaked the inside of the car some of the fluid may have caused my issue.

Is there anything else worth trying myself or should I bite the bullet and let an expert have a look at it.

Many thanks
