Just had my first Superb MOT

Featured Replies

I can't seem to post on the Superb Forum, but my Superb just sailed through its first MOT after 66,000 miles from new.

I've had it since new and have only had to do a couple of oil changes and air/oil/fuel filters.

It has been perfect.

I asked the MOT tester about brake pad wear and he said there is 25% wear on the front pads and 50% on the rear which is unusual.

Very happy with only 25% wear on the front after 66,000 but the rear wear is a puzzle.

Should I stop using the automatic hand brake setting, as this is the only reason that I can think may be causing this?#

All opinions welcome.

Thanks

Can’t help, but the MOT outcome is brilliant!

I wouldn’t worry. 50% wear at 66k miles sounds pretty good to me 😎

A warm welcome to the Forum !  I tend to agree with you, the fronts should wear more than the rears as they do more work.
