Hi all, thisis my first post here.

 

We've just bought a 69 reg ex-demo Octavia Estate 1.5 DSG but it didn't have the paddle shifts fitted.  Is it possible to buy these and fit them, either on their own or by replacing the steering wheel?  Or is it a factory fit option only. with other electronics and stuff involved?

If you have a multi function wheel then yes, you’ll need a set of button with the paddles and that’s all. If you don’t have a multi function wheel then that’s more complex.

Thanks, Sasha - yes, it has the front buttons and wheels for audio / phone, but I didn't spot the paddles when we went to testdrive it.  I'll look again over the weekend, my wife only collected it yesterday and I haven't seen the car since we saw it at the dealers.  She did the test drive as it's mostly hers - let's just say she tolerates car tech rather than wants it!

I have a 2016 L&K with 7 speed DSG and multi function steering wheel but no paddles, does any know the part number of the "set of buttons with paddles" that @SashaGracerefers to?

@PetrolDave I may have a wheel that would fit. PM me if interested and to remind me to look. It's not flat bottom but pretty sure it has buttons and definitely has paddles.
