Reminds me of a new Ford Focus mating with an Ibiza. Not much imagination gone into the design and interior plastics look low rent and honestly awful.

They have to turn out cars with facelifts like Skoda does until the Nevercumin EV's are offered.

The Leon badge is good, some Ebay seller can offer badges with peoples names to replace them.

Could be any medium hatch from just about any company. What's Seat's selling point? We're event more generic and dull than everyone else.

Front end is very much " i saw a new focus on the way into the office, so i drew what i could remember of it"

Same as a scala...

It seems like the VW boss that was reported as saying Skoda would be the one to be lower in the market or whatever means also SEAT, and the there is the CUPRA brand which is in no way a SEAT as they have their very own designs and Dealerships.

They just need to turn out well build cars for a good price and people might lease them, some might even buy them.

They need to punt the hybrids out to have their average emissions low across the brand.

I was thinking that it looked just like my old 2015 Leon ST.

SEAT Leon FR 1.5 FR eTSI  ,  so mild hybrid.

Odd pricing for the New Leon when the cheapest 1.5TSi petrol is £24,805 in FR only trim yet you can buy the larger more practical Octavia Mk4 from June with the same 148bhp (150PS) engine for just £22,390 in SE First Edition spec.

SEAT pricing is like Skoda pricing.  Just a guide to what not to actually pay for cars.

Audi claim the mild hybrid version of the 1.5TSi petrol engine will save owners 0.4litres of fuel every 62 miles (100km). Wow that is amazing. Just follow a truck is my advice if you want to use less fuel.

2 top tips from me

No.1 - Do not buy a SEAT, lots of things like to break and fall off, some call it character i call it crap

No.2 - Never ever ever ever (this is very important) buy any car powered by VAG’s diabolical 1.5 TSI Kangaroo edition.

Not giving you a lift home from your local if they ever open again in our 1.5TSi Karoq now it's been fixed under warranty twice. Second agree about SEAT's had a few and something bad happened far too often which make Skoda's appear like a Swiss watch in comparison, certainly with a 2.0TSi engine fitted anyway.:whew:

@shyVRS245   The point of the mild hybrid 1.0 & 1.5 TSI with DSG is that SEAT can have the kidology lower C02 g/km average across the range and also they pull away in electric drive and VW group deal with the DQ200 DSG issues and 1.5TSI EVO issues for long enough til they get an auto for small power output engines or until they are no longer allowed to sell ICE vehicles.

Just reading about the new Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSI e quattro a plug-in hybrid that they claim can travel 32 miles on electric alone with an average of 148.6mpg which we all know will never be achieved and just 44gm/km which will be good news for company car drivers. It also has 362bhp and 500nm but is slower than my Superb with a 0-62mph time of 5.7 seconds. Unfortunately as well as the extra weight of carrying the electric motor and battery space means the boot (remember this is a large estae car) has shrank to just 405 litres (my hatch has a 625 litre boot) and the price is going to be around £63,000 which sums up hybrids quite well. Too heavy, small boots and too expensive. Best to just buy a pure electric car whether it's a Tesla or a Corse e.:wondering:

How come SEAT are using the 1.5 TSI, yet Skoda seem to be sticking with the 1.4 TSI?

SEAT are using the 1.5 & 1.0 TSI with DSG's and Mild Hybrid just as Skoda are going to.   The 1.4 TSI is used with Plug in Hybrids.

So only the plug-in element influences which engine is used?

I wonder why being able to charge the battery via the mains influences the choice of engine?

@silver1011

It is the DQ200-e DSG gearbox and potentially rubbish 1.5TSI that is influencing the use of the Mild Hybrid.

They will shift enough they hope with the kidology tech that has the WLTP / RDE2 / C02 g/km that helps lower the average C02 emissions.

No mild hybrid for the manual 1.0 & 1.5 TSI.

As it is the 1.4 TSI only shows low C02 g/ km because of the plug in hybrid part.   They would not get the results running the 1.4TSI as you have.
