G12 Coolant in my car instead of G13

Featured Replies

I have bought a 2013 Skoda Octavia from a dealer, I have the car for a while now and I need to top up the coolant. I've noticed the coolant is red, I have researched online and the right coolant i need is the G13 which is purple. What I need to know is that if they have used the wrong coolant? And if the G12 coolant can be used instead or should i drain the coolant and add G13.

The colour thing is a myth, and G12 to G13 or vice versa are inter-miscible anyway.
