Superb iv charge cable length?

Featured Replies

Has anyone taken delivery of their Superb iv yet? Just wondered how long the type 2 to type 2 cable is?

Thought I'd take a quick look at the 'Pricing & Specifications' brochure online, but Skoda have just told me they no longer produce these.

So how are we supposed to see a full standard specifications list for their models? Well you can't was their response on Live Chat just now.

No worries, I'll take a look at their online configurator, build an iV and see if the specs are there. Nope, the iV isn't currently on the configurator.

Skoda UK's brand team are a joke.

Yeah the contradictions on the online configurator are incredible! You’re only spending 39k on a new car, it’s not like  you don’t need to know exactly what you’re getting for your money right?!

Skoda are not the only ones that are leaving customers confused over what cables come or not with Plug in Hybrids or EV's.

The prices of longer cables from Dealerships can be ridiculous.

I was just about to ask how you got to configure an iV, literally when I posted earlier this evening it 100% wasn't there.

I've just gone back in, and low and behold it is now selectable!

Weird.

Alas, it doesn't tell you the length of the bloody cable, a pretty important omission.

Skoda UK, if you're reading this, please give me a job. Someone needs to constantly remind your brand team to put themselves in the shoes of the buyer, your customers. They clearly aren't currently.

I must start

making cables then lol

People in business already do and sell them online, and much cheaper that Dealer / Manufacturers Official parts.   So nothing new there.

The issue is knowing what you buy is safe.

It is on their configurator - you need to start with one of their models first, then when you get to engine choices, you get to choose the hybrid drivetrain.  I tend to start with an L&K and work from there...

Yep, it appeared as I confirmed above.

It definitely wasn't there over the weekend, I started with an SE L and when it came to engine choice the 1.4 TSI iV wasn't listed, so also tried the L&K and got the same.

I then tried later, after speaking to Skoda UK on their Live Chat, and them confirming to me it was absent, and it was there.

Skoda UK told me it would be on by the end of February, when the right arm doesn't know what the left is doing 😂

I haven't yet received my iV (built but not yet delivered), but when I asked my vendor about this, he told me 7 meters.

Fwiw, both cables (T2-T2 and 220V) are provided as series in France but as far as I know, not in some other countries.
