Nice post. Mine will be 5 years old in October but has only 26k on the clock 🙂 No plans to change.

Yeah, the drive does need some attention...🤣

Great write up ,defo get ACC with DSG   ,Mrs finds its great in stop start  traffic,much less tiring on a long run .

Sadly budget only stretches to a manual with the ACC - DSG was on the wish list but along with red paint and a sunroof it's had to be abandoned!  Unless I go for something smaller but as the Octavias all now say 'only available from stock' I'm a bit stuck!

Shame , dsg takes car  to stand still in traffic then moves off when car in front moves ,Mrs wouldn't have a manual now ,so much easier 😁

And with ACC and a manual box it usually throws in the towel when going down through the gears at some point in heavy traffic. Its fine at the rest of the time though but it will change your driving style with a manual box as I tend to find that I focus on managing the gears to keep ACC happy.
