Is this a question in some form or just a statement?

OK...

Dear sirs, is GTX an older oil, newer oil, advised oil or what as Ive only ever seen Edge and Titanium listed and havent seen GTX on the Castrol site

would you think it advisable to use it (at £14/change) or not

hope that clears up any confusion

seems its a workshop bulk buy

Your MkII Superb Greenline has a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), so you need oil that meets the Volkswagen (VAG) spec VW 507.00 (low ash).

The approved Skoda oil from Castrol is Edge 5W30...

However, there is a Castrol GTX that meets the VW 507.00 specifications...

Bear in mind oil has a use-by-date, how long will it take you to get through 20 litres? Pointless buying in bulk if it is stored and unused for too long.
