Thanks to my local dealer I'm running about in a 55 reg Octy TDI Elegance courtesy car. Not sure what power, but on a reasonably fast return trip to Edinburgh it returned 49 mpg :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

There are benefits to diesel (& to petrol too) - motorway cruising at a decent pace is definitely a benefit. Petrols are still more refined & less noisy when cold though :)

I must say I have seen many comments about the smoke from your car but until seeing that I thought they where highly exagerated. That is a lot of smoke!!
