Citigo Heated Rear Window

Featured Replies

Hi there, my son has just bought a 2013 Citigo Sport and we noticed that only the centre 6 bars of the heated rear window are functioning. The top 3 bars and bottom 3 bars don’t seem to do anything. Is this normal? Thanks.

I don't think it is normal. Someone ruined the heater with scraper unfortunately.

I expect bits got ripped off when dealer stickers were removed. It is fixable but very difficult to achieve a result without having blobs or thicker lines on the screen. You can get a liquid you can paint on the gaps on the screen.

As above, highly likely damaged by window stickers. Worth looking at the cost of a replacement rear windscreen. It may be less expensive than you'd think.

I had that many years ago, and I recall getting some conductive paint* from the lab at work - a wipe with isopropyl,  two tiny bits of masking tape carefully stuck on, a little paint dab, and good as new. I think the scratch was caused by a prev. owner carrying long planks which chipped a mill or two off the heater strip. Mind you, of late, the rear heater paint on cars seems way more robust than it used to.

*But as said, you can buy specific products for screen heaters.
