Hi all

Has anyone had any issues installing a Blackvue DR750s-2CH with power Magic Pro?

 

I got it installed from Autobarn (car part shop based throughout Australia).

 

When I started the car an error came up regarding stop/start system, when i was almost home I notice that the air conditioning was working, wouldn't turn on and none of the display/lights for the air conditioning unit was on.

I took it back for them to look at, and they couldn't find anything wrong with the install

 

I'm going back tomorrow for them to have another look at it. 

 

I'm disappointed as we have only had the Kodiaq for 2 weeks

If they disconnected the battery during installation, the car needs recoding. Visit to dealer.

Thanks, I’ll give the dealership a call in the morning 

Just in case, chck fuses.

Really?  I hope that’s not going to happen with a mere flat battery. 😬

If there`s some juice left, then probably not.

If completely flat, you might.

Superb 2 already was full of electronics and after disconnecting the battery you needed to clean the DTC faults because some minor equipment didn`t work otherwise.

But Suberb was simple enough to clear faults with VCDS.

Kodiaq is more complex, some errors cannot be erased with VCDS, only official diagnostics tool.

And errors will pop up if you disconnect the battery.

Thanks for the warning, I thought you would get errors codes after reconnecting a battery, but thought a restart would clear the messages.

I didn’t realise there could be more serious consequences of disconnecting the battery. 🙁

Just a following up, took the car back to dealership today they quickly found the problem of a missing fuse, so thankfully we have aircon back

What about the stop/start errors?

 

A professional dash camera installation company left a fuse out? I hope they offered you some money back as way of an apology for all the messing about they've caused you?
