British and a Skoda? That'll be me then!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I bought a 2017 Skoda Octavia VRS 245 Estate at the weekend. It is a nice bit of kit indeed. I'm now ruining it by having a tow bar fitted.

This is my first Skoda and the early signs are very promising. My previous car was a Volvo V40 T5 and the VRS rides loads better.

I'm from the West Midlands and my other car is a MG TF 160 that occasionally get used for autotests and track stuff.

Looking forward to joining in on the conversations but I am 57 and a tad grumpy at times, so go easy on me.

Aiden

Welcome Aidey I think you will fit in just fine. Just turned 55 and I've started to notice I'm turning into my Dad as I get older. Grumpy is just one of his traits and impatience seems to be another I've inherited. Bought a Vrs245 new in 2017 put 29,000 miles on it before trading it in for a used 2019 Superb 272 which is more to my liking now (better ride and more refined/quieter).

A warm welcome to the Forum Aiden from yet another oldie !  Love the old car scene, mainly Austins and Morris all pre war but at 78 I sometimes find it difficult to get out and get under so am sticking with my Octavia 1.5TSI for now.  So far, two years and nothing to flap about so far.
