Ceramic coating to replace wax

Featured Replies

I am old school and usually use a wax to seal the car. Replacing this what is a half decent ceramic coating or whatever is in fashion these days to replace this?

looking at something around £20 that will give a bit of longevity, if anything like that even exists.

i used to use collinite 476s wax as an example, ran out a couple of years ago so just been using meguires tech wax (doesnt last long) or autoglym extra gloss sealant (just what i had lying around)

Unsure if you'll get a decent ceramic wax for that budget - but you can get a decent sized tub of Fusso Soft99. If it's a synthetic paint wax / sealant that gives great durability.

Have a Google and you'll see what people think.

I don't mind spending a bit more I just thought hard wax was a thing of the past and everyone was using these ceramic coating things?

I do have diamond brite trade stuff but I don't rate that much either tbh

I have just went with the tried and tested collinite 476S wax

least i know where i stand with it

Collinite 845 is basically the same as 476 but much easier to get on and off as it's a liquid, at the cost of a little longevity.
