Respectable mpg from SWMBO!

Featured Replies

It can be done!, I let SWMBO drive to my parents this weekend (been out on the lash the night before so she more or less had too!). I could not believe the average 35.8mpg she got on the 75 mile trip. I drove back and tried my hardest to get somewhere near it and only managed 28.4mpg  .

35.8, seems pretty darn good to me! Very respectable.

Not bad at all, I'm getting 27mpg from my remapped Fabia :D or should that be :thumbdwn:

It'll be because she has smaller feet.

us females are jsut good like that!:P

Thats impressive, I only manage 40mpg in my 2ltr tdi.

Ladies - Good on fuel bad on clutches.

I got 35 mpg going to Mayo over the weekend on a 160 mile trip, to be honest I thought I'd get a little more, I had 5 people. One of the days we took a spin to Seaweed baths near in Sligo and average 38 mpg with 2 people in the car. We weren't exactly taking it handy either :) .

As a matter of interest does Cruise control use a little more petrol ? Obviously it depends on your driving style but I reakon I could do better without it.

The consensus is that cruise control uses less fuel as it can maker finer throttle adjustments to remain constant speed.

I can get about 48mpg avg:thumbup:

SWIMBO over the same route always get 60+mpg:thumbdwn: and normally pulls away from the toll booths faster:eek:

I bet it took you 3 times longer to get there than it did to get home though!!

It's because she is a woman!!!!!! Of course!!!!!

Women make everything go further! When mine's around I go as far away as possible!! [no, not really!]

Women make everything go further!

except your money :D

And your beer!

But the beer and the money appear to make the women go further!! Or is it the other way around...oh forget it!
