Hi, I recently bought a skoda scala, every now and again it will come up with the front assist sensor is impaired? is this a common fault?

Thanks, that explains this morning in snow then

Even light drizzly rain can build up a layer of moisture on the sensor and stop it working.

Needs to be kept clean .

Thanks everyone, will keep my eye on it and keep it clean as best I can

Snow and ice buildup disrupt the sensor in my own experience. I had no problems in dusty and rainy conditions

Settled snow and really heavy rain at motorway speeds tend to impair the grill mounted sensors.
