H15 bulb bracket - wiring conector

Featured Replies

Hi.

Does anyone know how to get of H15 bulb conector from headlight bracket?

I don't think it is supposed to detach is it?

The H15 bulb pushes in and is rotated. The metal lip on the base of the bulb is then held by the bulb holder and the three electrical contacts slot into the open terminals at the same time that the bulb is rotated.

Why do you need to remove the black plastic bulb holder?

I have seen in some videos that they are disconnected.

I'm doing Led bulb upgrade - and so I want get in some Led drivers.

DRL is to shiny - with Led drivers it's going to be possible do dimming.

Even with LED H15's you're still going to need the bulb holder?

The heat sink on the back of the LED bulbs gets very hot, be careful it doesn't touch the rubber dust cap on the back of the headlight otherwise it might be a fire risk.

Unfortunately here in the UK the lack of any available E-marked LED dipped headlight bulbs means they're not road legal.

They are illegal everywhere.

I'm less wondering about that, because I'm using them only on high beam.

Self bracket stays where it supposed to be. I need disconnect only wiring.

Self Led bulbs I have already tested on car. If we are talking about heat - then H7 halogen was more hot then Led H15.
