Dear All

is it possible to repair the drivers seat on my 58 Fabia sport.  The frame on the right hand side is starting to dig into my leg.  Or is it just better to replace it

you need a new squab foam by the sounds of it, they go weak / thin over time, especially on the edge when there is a bolster, if the cover (trim) is ok, it can be swapped over in no time.

 

Not that expensive, item 29 here, but best to get actual part number from a dealer when providing your VIN / reg.

PS there is one other option and that is remove both front seats, and swap the passenger side with the drivers, depends on how often passengers are in the car and in the case if your married etc what the wife would say 😄

This wouldnt work due to the fact the seatbelts and height adjusters are on set sides. therefore if you swap them the seatbelt and height adjusters will be on the wrong side. Unless you swap the frames over of course. 

never mentioned swapping seats, just the squabs, the seat frame is not the problem.
