Those scenarios are a bit late for me now😂

When I was on the phone to Skoda today, I was interested to learn that they have direct access to all my vehicle data for instance he knew the last time I'd used the car, how far, location etc. etc.

You can turn off what they can see. But it does turn off some functions

🙂 I'm more interested in getting functions enabled at the moment. Not a worry for me although it occurred to me that some might not like the idea, a bit like Amazon keeping recordings of everything that people say in their homes when Alexa is tabhanging.

The OP's issue is unlikely to be related to Skoda Connect.

Skoda Connect is unlikely to cause the sat nav to become inoperative.

Skoda Connect is largely inadequate. I wouldn't bother with it. Glitchy, under-invested, unreliable, often down for maintenance. Even when it is working the novelty of sounding your horn from inside the house very quickly wears off.

It just grates a bit when they advertise so forcibly and then you find most of it is hot air👹

Yeah, I too had high hopes, I soon realised it was not living up to Skoda's hype.

Whatever you do, don't check out the renewal costs before they expire at the end of the first year, to actually pay for Skoda Connect in it's current guise boggles the mind.

My thoughts too, I definitely won’t be renewing after first year I think I can live without it. Shame I do like the car but I feel the advertising for connect is a bit of a con.
