TDI VRS Exhaust tips

Featured Replies

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has removed the fake exhaust tips from their Octavia and fitted proper ones on both sides?
Thinking of doing this from the mid box to the back (without rear boxes for a bit of sound) and was wonderIng what dual/round/oval tips would look like in the trapezoidal cutout. And does it sound any good without rear boxes?

I did a muffler delete on a mk4 Golf GTTDI a few years back and it sounded pretty good but it didn’t have a dpf.

Thanks

Not my car but I know the owner. Don’t expect any sound changes that you can detect from inside, the dpf kills the sound. No rear boxes on this one and it makes a nice burble on the outside but nothing major. Still unmistakably a diesel. Was done by Tony Banks Exhausts :)

Ah yes that’s what I’m thinking, been struggling to find any pictures. I think it looks really good. I’ll give Tony Banks a try. Thank you.

Hi,

I recently retrofitted the original ones from 2.0 TSI.

I found them used on my local scrap yard, and the cost was 180€.

Later on, I replaced my TDI exhaust tips with the TSI ones, for 30€ addition.

Both tips needs to be replaced because the left one has a opening for two outputs.
