brake light third brake light

hi, I have a mk1 2002 octavia. third/high level  brake ligh problem. some of the bulbs went and the rest are dim and blackened. what type of bulb are they. they are tiny. capless ones. i ordered some off amazon, but they where too big.

ISTR that's a multi-LED unit, and not user-serviceable.

If you have taken it apart and seen the bulbs blown, then these will fit.

I've installed led lights into the unit now. They where all quite bad connection too so I've soldered each one in

I have replaced a few in mine too.  Didnt need to solder though

I did mine last year, wouldn’t solder nor use led, be far to bright for what’s needed.

I thought the same before I did it..They're not that bright  though..And don't stand out..
