Hello, I have only just joined this fourum and would like to ask has anyone had a problem with the factory fit towbar on superb estate? mine is a 2016 4x4 estate diesel and the little led in the boot tells me it is not secure and the handle does not return properly,  after playing with the handle and bar it eventually turns green and all is well. Could it be just dirty or in need of lubricant of some sort? any help would be greatly received.

No particular problem on mine. But I've noticed last time that the hook was a bit lazy to unlock, while pulling the handle.

I think it may only need some cleaning and lubricating. Not done yet on mine, but I will at the next overhaul @ 45000 km.

When mines been stored a while, it does drop slow, which I assume is surface rust in maybe the drop link or how ever its mounted. 

 

However a quick pull up of the towball locks it into position
