Swirls & Small Scratches!

Featured Replies

Aside from paying five large to that bloke who has been on Fifth Gear tonight!, anyone got any suggestions on what to use to get rid of some unsightly swirl marks and several light scratches. :(

Thinking about doing this myself but have no experience whatsoever so may consider getting someone to do it for me so if you have any suggestions of a professional on the South Coast that would be appreciated too.

You can fill them ( short term ) or remove them.

As Robbo says Rich at Polishedblidd or www.detailingworld.co.uk will have far more info.

All that money and he only used 1 bucket

Still if the valet business falls through he can become a masuess

Meguires Scratch X is pretty good I find.

I used the Megs 1-2-3 polish solution and it cleared all the swirls away a treat. think it worked out about

Nipped into halfords over the week-end & spotted a zymol cleaner wax which apparently "repairs swirl marks and minor scratches" (the wife's fabia suffers with swirl marks).

Anyway, I've bought a bottle, but not had chance to try it yet - I suspect it will take several applications to see any meaningful result!

FWIW: After reading this thread on Briskoda Here, I was also fascinated to see detailing in action on the telly - it put the whole thing in perspective :) (Especially this clay-bar business.)

IOW So to see not only what not to do, but also what each stage does as a remedy, and in pictures Yey! :boing:

That programme (Fifth Gear) made it so much easier to see what problem one is trying to resolve and how
