Glowplug control module

Featured Replies

I have a 2015 Octy VRS tdi and have had a P0673 fault code appear a few times. The car is under used car warranty and has been back in. It was the same code when it happened the first time. They have changed all the glow plugs but I still get the fault code back after a few cycles of ignition. I know it will now either be the harness or control module. I know on my old mk2 Octy VRS the module was in the engine bay, but all I can find for the mk3 is the module is actually the relay. Is that correct?

Any help is really appreciated

Matt

Managed to locate the relay. Going to change it and see if the fault code returns.

Changed the relay this morning and the car started straight away. It idled and drove a lot smoother from cold,  so that tells me it was the relay and not the glow plugs at fault.

The fault code kept pointing towards the glow plug number 3 and I knew that had been changed. Makes me wonder if this relay has been the cause of many slow starting issues.

Missed this, sorry; did you find the thread where I cut one of these relays up?

All solid-state circuitry inside.
