Is it possible to activate this? On my Octavia it was in the settings but can't seem to find it on the karoq settings. 

Stopped allowing it in 2015/16 as comes under noise abatement laws. When people getting home late at night and waking neighbours up when the alarm went Beep Beep

You can activate the function with OBD11 or Carissa then a tick box will appear within the settings.

I thought the sound of deactivating the central locking for an early shift was bad enough.  At that time in the morning, 0345, it sounded like a rifle shot.

I activated the lock/unlock beeps on my Karoq by using the Carista app (£20.99 https://amzn.to/2JgwAdY  Skoda dealer would not do it as they said they needed a £400 adapter!). The beeps are not too loud so no worry about disturbing your neighbours in the middle of the night. Carista is brilliant as I have also enabled the fancy needle-sweep at startup, illuminate rear lights when DRLs are on, make the weak air-conditioning run cooler, show fan speed when climate control on Auto, etc. You can even disable the Start/Stop with it.

How's this carista work? Never heard of it 

Its a little dongle - plugs into the OBD port under the dash, connects via Bluetooth to your Phone - need to download the App (free). c.£20 from Amazon

 

Some features are free, but if you want to customise settings you can do this for free for a limited period, after then its payable  - I paid 0.99 to do mine!

 

I've had this for several years and used it successfully on my previous Yeti and  on 'er indoors' Fabia!

I couldn't get needle sweep working for my virtual cockpit using carista. any luck? not sure if I missed a step trying to get ignition in a fully off state. 

 

open door 

plug in carista 

turn ignition on (brakes not depressed) 

activate customisation 

unplug, turn off, open and close door 

turn on ignition, turn off. open and close door. 

 

switched on engine and it didn't work hmm

ive only explored enabling carbon fiber style for VC which is in beta

As daft as it sounds, it might start working if you try again. My needle sweeps work 90% of the time so not every single time. Or try de-activating the feature with Carista and then RE-activating it. Good luck.
