New Sportline owner during lockdown!

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I collected my Sportline yesterday with social distancing etc. I just signed the papers and shown how to activate the apps etc and off I go...any hints and tips are highly appreciated for this beast! Not that I’ll be able to use a lot considering the current situation!

I must say I am but disappointed that my car was impacted of Skoda cost cutting that some of the stuff was not there such as one umbrella instead of two or torch etc:-( however just looking the car from the window stands and turns heads, not sure if it’s a good thing either!

i bought TFY iPad holder for my boy but I cannot find seat organiser thingy in case he kicks the seat as the bucket seat doesn’t seem to be suitable the ones on amazon, any advises? Also any recommendations how to keep clean with 2 kids?

Here are some pics of the beast! And yeah as the name suggests had to stick the bear to the rear window!

Enjoy.

My red one is a day older than yours. I don't really care about the penny pinching cuts. I never used the door bumpers to crash into adjacent cars and one fell off anyway.

The digital dash took a bit of figuring out; I think I've grasped all the permutations now. Auto setting takes it's cue from the driving mode, i.e. Drive Mode, Suspension Mode and Dash Mode get in tune with each other. Big Boy's Toys eh!

I slotted a 99p SIM card into mine this afternoon and it's talking to the Skoda APP.  Though it thinks the car is 3.1 miles away and not 10 Feet.  But I've met the APP previously and it's a kiddy gimmick that lasts 12 months (FOC).

Right now I'm loading an SD card with a bucketful of music from my PC.

Total miles 42 - most of which was dealer delivery to me.

ps - I can't get rid of the old one for a few weeks

Thank you!

The colour of the rims of the old car looks nice actually! Matches the overall colour!

I didn’t get the digital dash as it was optional thinking I’d use Apple CarPlay from the console dashboard. Having said that still figuring out the settings on the console dashboard.

Skoda app seems to be but unstable for me too, it doesn’t show Irish garages and when it does it doesn’t select, I’ve tried the lite version and same thing.

Id trade the new lettering for the extra umbrella and disease-ridden door protector but thats just me. Are you happy with it otherwise? With how it drives? Im getting a Quartz Sportline in a month or two and cant wait.

I didn’t know how bad is the bear face I.e door protectors until I did more research and you guys pointed out guess not missing it then. It drives really great, steering wheel is really smooth, very quiet and surprisingly it gets away in the traffic very promptly. The digital console is really responsive it’s like an iPad in the middle. It’s my third day with it but really loving it so far. Unfortunately most iPad holders along with Skodas own one don’t attach back of the seat hence bought the Velcro one.

Quartz color was my another option as it looks awesome!!! Hope you’ll love it!!!

Hi,

How do you find the 20" wheels on Irish roads, just wondering how you find the ride. Thinking of ordering a sportline with the 20" alloys? They do look good though!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Have the same query re the 20inch vega alloys on a sport line. I am awaiting delivery and am hoping its not a mistake!!
