Classic girly comment ...

Featured Replies

My missus is used to driving our diesel Yaris (100hp with tuning box) but had to drive the PD100 combi today. When she landed home she wanted to know why the speedo was in KM/H not MPH - a little puzzled I questioned her further and then came this classic conversation ...

"well it got to 100 so fast I thought it must be in kilometres"

Sensing what was coming I asked her what top speed she obtained to which the answer came "oh, I converted that on the calculator at work, only 75mph why?"

"Did you cause a queue in lane 3 at that speed?" says I

"Oh no" she says "bit strange that, nobody got near me, been wondering about that all day"

"Nothing to do with the speedo being in MPH then?" says I

I'll gloss over her next comments, pausing only to confirm to those of you out there who are married that it was indeed ALL MY FAULT.

Women, doncha just love 'em ?

... a little later this evening she added "it can't be that quick it's only a Skoda!"

And she's right to a point, it's a standard 4yr old combi apart from a tuning box on a low setting ... it seems I've been lucky enough to get a quick one :)

Jason, she drives in divers boots so I think she's manage well over '90' in yours!

Even the 1.2 gets up to pretty high speeds - takes a while - the PD100 + tuning box ought to hit at least 120 indicated mph at a lowish setting assuming the gear ratios allow it :)

PD 100 does 120 indicated without the tuning box......on a private road i may add.....

classic!

No. Its a red vRS:rofl:
