Hello everyone,

 

Something that turned out to be a pretty easy thing to do has turned into an absolute mountain out of a molehill, people saying that you need to spend hundreds of pounds to do a single thing

 

I’m trying to turn on the anti-hijack feature on my Fabia MK2 2014. I accepted the risk, and bought on of those KKL clones.

 

I believe I’ve set it up correctly, it can access the controller and the tests go ok, but when I try to open the control module 46 (or 09, I’ve seen it’s moved there now) the version (409.1) I’m using spits out an error saying that there’s no response from the controller.

 

I originally read that the KKL would work fine with the 5J, but now as I dig further it looks like not a single soul has ever got it to work on this car. All my settings seem to be correct, what am I missing?

I presume a KKL clone is a VCDS clone and if so, Briskoda does not allow discussion regarding these as they are liable to cause damage to people's cars.

Hopefully that hasn't happened to yours though.

Pretty sure a KKL lead won't work on mk2's, except possibly in a limited way.  They are the 'third party cables' that (legitimately) work with VCDS lite on earlier cars, no chance on a mk2 though AFAIK.
