Underseat subwoofer wiring

Featured Replies

Hi guys and gals

I've been very quiet on the forum for many years but have finally purchased an obd11 for my 2016 VRS estate so will look at that shortly.

I've also bought a kenwood ksc sw11 underseat subwoofer. I'm just stuck as I dont know what wires are the positive and negative for the front speakers for me to T into. I have bought some t tap scotch locks ready to install.

I'm sure this has been asked in the past but I'm a complete novice.  Any help will be much appreciated 👍

Thanks for replying Batvanvrs. Ive done my best to follow that thread you posted. I've had a go at wiring the kenwood sw11 underseat subwoofer up but it doesn't turn on. I've attached a fuse tap to the yellow power cable and attached that to a switched live behind the glovebox. To the Rear heated seat fuse. I have a dash cam already wired into the rear wiper so that slot was unavailable. My earth seems to be fine. and I've attached all speaker cables up with t tap connectors.

Are there any better earth points near the drivers seat as that's where the sub is located?

Does the blue remote cable need connecting to the wiring also?

If so which one?

I bought a t harness iso lead CT10SK03 and I cant for the life of me get the headunit back in.

Does your vRS have heated rear seats, are you sure the fuse / fuse position is a switched live?

I dont have heated rear seats, my front heated seats wont come on unless the ignition is on so I was under the impression the rears would behave the same way. Would that fuse not work if the rear seats aren't speced on my car

Sorry I'm a complete beginner at all this
