Cant find oil cooler seal/o-ring 1.9 tdi 2005

Featured Replies

Hey,

New here so sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.

Basically I've taken apart the oil cooler and am now putting it back together. It looks ok but figured I might aswell replace the top seal whilst I'm here as this could be why it was leaking. I cant find one online that looks anything like mine though. Any ideas where I might find this please?

Thanks alot!

I always resort to the dealer for this kind of stuff, usually if I order a part, it comes and its wrong.

There appear to be two versions, one a plain square-edged 62.8mm o-ring as listed here - https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/021117070-oil-cooler-seal-tdi-de-16667.html

or a similar one with two "ears" inside (presumably for locating to pins) which is listed under the same part number but for an Audi.

Which one do you have?

The o-ring one is the one at the bottom of the cooler which I can find. Its the stranger looking one with the internal cut-out bits that I cant find. If that is what you mean? Thanks
