Retrofitting a paddle shift wheel

Hi, was thinking about retrofitting a paddle shift wheel to my '16 MC 1.2tsi.

I've seen videos of other VAG cars and know they've needed a VCDS code after. Does anyone know if it's been on the Mk3 Fabia. Ive seen a wheel on Ebay for an Octavia VRS that looks identical to my wheel.

Also any recommendations for a Vcds kit?

Hi all, Anyone else getting repeat Infotainment updates that don't appear to be installing, I'm getting this problem on my 2024 Superbs Infotainment unit nearly every day, when I look on the Information tab I can see the updates and when it says they're installed, and a prompt to say the installation will be active the next time the car is started, so all looks correct. But literally the next day I'll get another message on the screen to say updates are available and ready to install, and the sa

I bought a sportline flat bottom steering wheel but it was the heated version with the view button. I knew the airbag would have a bit of a gap but I didn’t like how it looked or felt overall. So I now have that for sale if anyone is interested. I am on the hunt for a round leather steering wheel. Version with phone button not view button, but with the DSG paddles. If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct part number or even if you have one for sale please let me know!

A while ago, a car parked behind mine decided to spontaneously combust, melting my rear bumper and the outsides of the light clusters, plus scorching the hatchback. The light bulbs themselves weren't damaged and still worked, as did my aftermarket reversing sensor system, none of the wires were melted. Local dealership said it would cost £300 to upgrade my maps and suggested that there are better options them then for this! After lots of online research I decided to update the firmware from H4120 to 5274. I have the zipped file RNS_510_FW_5274_update.iso and have burned this to a DVD at lowest speed. When I put the DVD in the unit (no keys in iginition) it whirs around and then after 20-30 seconds comes back with a CD/DVD error. The unit will play a normal music
