Looks like a moped to me. Tax, insurance and registration needed IMHO. A moped is motor assisted pedal machine - exactly what this is, it even looks like mopeds of the early 70's (Mobylette any one?)

https://www.dictionary.com/browse/moped

Yes it looks like but is not a moped as you have to keep pedalling as they are pedal assist and have the limited speed below 16 mph unlike mopeds and 30 mph.  No accelerator, just a Battery & electric motor to assist the pedalling & not a  gasoline motor.

No IVA, DVLA Registration, VED, Insurance for use on the public road or MOT required.

Lots of Electric Mopeds around at similar cost or just a bit more that can be ridden by those with a Car Licence, or Provisional / CBT, Insurance etc.

Not legal on Cycle Tracks / Paths etc.

I wanted a folding e-bike i could take in the MINI Electric if using a slow charger rather than staying with the car at Rapids for up to 40 minutes so tried a few recently but today tried one of these and it was just what i was after and ordered one.
