DPF Pressure Sensor - Pigs Tail

Featured Replies

I have had the above sensor changed twice now, the reason for this was that it did not fix the issue (curly wire coming on etc), and we thought the sensor could be faulty, not the case as the 2nd one did not work also, the car still re-gen's ok it just very annoying when the warning light pops up, it is at random times and i can go weeks without it coming up. I have read an old post on this forum about some of the sensors being made in the USA or Malaysia as not being the correct ones, i have it done at an indy garage/auto diagnostics place who i do trust, also i read that before the car is started you have to '' code it' or words to that effect to ECU, Is there anything else on this that has come to light since the post i read which i think was about 2015 ? Thanks

do you have a code reader? Or have access to one? It makes everything easier 🤪

cant say I’ve had a problem with the Dpf light yet and that turned out to be the MAP sensor..

The “pigs tail” engine management light that came on is the glow plug management light, which can be numerous things

does the light come on randomly? It could be a loose wiring harnest

the only sensor I know that needs adaptation is the exhaust pressure sensor

it’s definitely strange for it not to be working correctly after two sensor changes so without overthinking things I would think that wouldn’t  be the problem
