Featured Replies

I think he was referring to the cruise control switch but I could be wrong.

Ah, ok.
I got both the clutch and the brakeswitch. Still the same faultcode.
And i did some more resistance measurements on the cruiseswitch (one the cables).
Everything seems ok, and the 12V also.
What can i do next, just the VCDS option left now?

Did you find a solution for this problem or just gave up?

I have the same problem:
TLDR; Bought the car used 2 months ago with owner claiming CC has fuse issue and hired a mechanic to fix it and mechanic claims car does't have CC at all

I have the same model car (Fabia mk2 2008) diesel 1.4 engine. just recently bought the car and owner said Cruise was working and stopped working few months ago before I bought.
Then got a new story from a mechanic I visited to fix the problem with Cruise control and his words were "This car probably don't have cruise and lever was replaced with something different"
his argument was when I pull the lever in (blinkers) it shows both down light and purple light (normal and high beam) icons on the meter which is not correct.

I am completely new to this so forgive me for any mistake in explaining the problem.
