I found the best way to get a bonnet open on a Skoda octavia with a flat battery is to pull the bonnet lever away  front passagers door trim which stops you when the passers door is shut or locked and with not open due to no electric power,  You you can also get in the drivers door open if not already, by to remove the cover on the door hand  by pulling the handle as to open then prise the cover off exposing the lock and insert the the key once all done jump start or charge battery etc
