Wheel trim - Scout

Featured Replies

Anyone have experience in sourcing and replacing wheel trim for Skoda Scout? Skoda quoted £115 for part alone and told me I'd have to paint part as well.

What model year is your Scout?

Also, a piccy of the wheel and trim would help.

Have a search of this forum for Scout wheel arch trim as there was an informative thread here a few months back.

In essence, find a trim on fleabay for much less than your stealer, spray with plastic primer and your chosen top colour plus laquer (matt, I think) and affix with either polyurethane body foam or strong double-sided foam tape.

Thanks Struggled to find one that fitted this model so far but will just keep an eye open. Thanks for the info on fitting!

They come already painted...

I thought they would but when I called Skoda they said I’d have to paint.

this is the ideal one apart from it’s a mk3 not 2

If there aren't any listed on eBay your best bet will be ringing round any local breakers, if they're still open.

If not then it'll be the £115 brand new part from Skoda.

What is wrong with the one already on the car, can it not be repaired? Smart repairs are very good these days, paint matches are perfect and they won't need to remove the trim thus saving all the hassle of gluing it back on.

Yeah I’m not too fussed for the time being. Just fancy smartening it up a little.

the one that was there is missing altogether. So I need the whole new piece

Thank you @StickyMicky

I couldn't see a picture on the link and it makes me nervous that it would be the right part. Good price though.

Anyone know of the part number?

Never mind. I found it: 1Z9853508
