  1. How about a Stormy Petrel?
  2. There's a brace of those guys in the wood behind me, and every morning they hold a competitive hammering event round about dawn. I suppose it helps the crows wake up ...
  3. There's nothing coming up on the usual go-to for parts - lllparts.co.uk - but both part codes show up on skoda-parts.com, along with lists of the applicable vehicles. Hopefully these will help clear the fog a little. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/1k0937087h-control-unit-skoda-28666.html https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/1k0937087pz00-central-control-unit-skoda-27602.html
  4. That would likely be a decider for me.
  5. I'd like to learn more, please.
  6. They're known as 'burls' and are usually the reaction of the tree to some insult or intrusion into the bark layer. The complex growth patterning - "figuring" - within burls makes them highly attractive to woodworkers.
  7. Here's another source JIC; new RHD door mirror, heated, complete in primer 27 squid from ali. Only thing missing (for me) was the entry/exit puddle light led. Once the weather improves I shall see if I can transplant the old led fitting into the new housing. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008630176919.html
  8. One other quick check; swap the front wheels over and see if the driving behaviour follows the wheel or stays as-was.
  9. That suggests your tracking is out, perhaps adjustment, perhaps wear on the various suspension elements. Were it mine, I would get the tracking checked.
  10. A quick check for you; look at the tyre treads to see if there's any uneven wear, plus check for the correct tyre pressures and enough tread depth..
  11. Our Indy did just that on one of our Octy 2s. Car is still running fine with no problems. BTW look on aliexpress.com for a new alarm; between 40-50 squid at last look.
  12. Name of Claude, perhaps?
  13. I am embarrassed. I've just checked HERE and my 2007 Octy 2 has 5 X 112 PCD, NOT 5 x 115 as I had in my notes. So, if the wheel is of use, it's yours. Do check first that a full size wheel and tyre will fit into your wheel well, in case it's been tailored for a smaller-sized spare. I'll go measure the externals on this wheel and update you later.
  14. From a problem solving perspective I would do this - and nothing else - before testing the car again. If you 'fix' allsorts and the car works OK you will not be able to identify the original problem uniquely.
  15. My brain was telling me something could be amiss when I watched the vid, but I couldn't work out what it was. Hopefully you've caught it.
