Featured Replies

morning,

What have i done to my  car MK11 58 vrs😞 ??

Looking at some previous forum topics i came across the chat about settings that can be accessed by pressing econ and upward fan postion button.

had a play but im sure i didnt change owt

Now every time i start engine and put in reverse it gives a looonnnggggggg beep.

never done before in the 7 years i have had her.

so far have tried the setting on stream mp3 player with pdc off and beep off but still there, only the first time i select reverse.

if anyone can help before lockdown finally drives me mad

thanks

kruger

How long is the beep?

With factory fitted rear parking sensors (Park Distance Control / PDC), when you engage reverse there is an audible warning to confirm to the driver that the system is active.

It is only 1-2 seconds long, but it is normal. Perhaps you have inadvertently increased the volume?
