Ive had my fabia for about a year and a half and the one thing thats always annoyed me is how dim the headlights& full beam are in the dark. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where i can buy a decent set of bulbs please? 
 

Both my DRLs have blown aswell eventhough i only changed them out a few months ago so would be great if i could find some decent bulbs for them too.

I use Philips extreme power, another one is Osram Night breakers.

 

Just as important as "better" bulbs is ensuring the headlights are adjusted correctly and at max legal height, it makes a huge difference.

I fitted Ring +150's to both dip and main beam 18 months ago and they are still going strong. They made a big difference but as Urban Panzer say's the biggest improvement was having the beams correctly adjusted.

Can i just ask, do i buy h4’s or h7’s?

My Fabia has projector dip and reflector mains and both use H7's. Downside was that I had to purchase 4 bulbs, but the upside is that I can swap a bulb from main beam to dip in an emergency. If your not sure go to https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/h4-60-55w-headlight-bulb/ or similar and put in your reg number.

Ive just removed the old bulbs and eventhough they’re h7’s, theres only two of them and not 4 like you said yours have? I was under the impression that h7’s only work either on or off and not as a high beam and low beam, which mine seems to do, or am i missing something?

Some Fabia's have a shutter system which activates to cut off the top half of the beam when dip is selected. Do a search as I know there have been several threads about these. iirc they are notorious for the poor dipped beam.

I think thats the case with mine as you can hear the shutter mechanism when you change from dip to full. Thanks a lot.
