Cam belt and water pump change.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Next week myself and mechanic friend are to undertake a cam belt and water pump change on my 2016 superb estate 2.0tdi 150, would you have any tips on this with regards making this job as easy as possible, perhaps even some photos if you have them, we have the tools required.

kind regards

Ashley.

I've done a dozen or so of these across the VAG range, there's a master timing tool set you can buy off eBay for around £35 comes in very handy. Just take your time and be methodical. I've Found sometimes getting the top timing belt cover off can be tricky due to one of the brackets for DPF sensors but just bare with it. If you want to ask anything specific feel free to drop me a PM.
