190 Sportline for towing?

Featured Replies

Hey all, Have decide that the next motor will be a Superb3 and it will most definitely be a 190 Sportline, preferably an estate, My main reason for going  to a 190 estate is for towing a caravan. Just wondered who else uses a Sportline for towing and how they get on especially as I have read a Sportline has slightly lower and stiffer suspension. Cheers

Towed with a sportline 190 4x4 dsg estate, the van was a Bailey Unicorn Cadiz with a tow weight of 1570kg, no issues whatsoever, returned approx 32 mpg towing fully loaded including a roof box full, found the superb sportline suspension to be amazing, you won’t regret it for towing!

Cheers, have you got any info on when the likes of the DSG oil and Haldex oil should be changed? I'm looking at a car with 41k on it and my understanding is the DSG should have been done at 40k and the haldexat 30k, is this correct? Cheers

Also did you have any problems with the Haldex system as Ive seen lots of horror stories about the new generation Haldex5 system and even if they are serviced correctly they can still fail drastically and expensively? Cheers again.

Cheers again and very nice! I had 4 Skodas previously but because I got ridiculously messed around by a Skoda dealer when I was looking for my last car I moved to a Kia Sportage which is a good and very reliable car but it's just not a Skoda, it's near the end of its 7 year warranty so nows the time to go Skoda again.

When I bought my car from the dealer in Preston, they quoted me a grand for having a towbar fitted.

They advised I should have an aftermarket one fitted for half the price - which I did. Well, 590 quid actually.
