Citigo Spare Wheel Clamp Part Number

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My son has bought a space saver spare wheel for his Citigo Sport but we now need to buy the screw on plastic clamp which holds it to the boot floor. Could anyone with the space saver spare fitted to their Citigo confirm the part number stamped on the plastic clamp please? Thanks.

As far I can remember any locking screw/bolt/clamp will do as long it's from vag vehicle.

If we thinking about same part (no. 12 on the attached diagram) than vag part number is 6Q0803899A

That’s great, thanks. From the diagram I’ve also just realised we are missing the strap which is number 11 on the diagram. Do you know the part number for that strap too?

Re the clamp ....being a cheapskate I made one from a piece of 1/8"  steel plate, cut to length.Drilled a hole in it,painted black and secured to the boot floor with a long bolt.I fitted a wing nut-epoxyed on at the top of the thread -to undo......

My wheel and tyre was second hand.unused though at £16 delivered, from auction site....

Part number for the strap would be 6H0867749

In my opinion, if you would use the securing bolt/screw there is no need for the strap. The strap is only there to hold the toolbox/polyesterene insert.

As above: The strap is indeed only there to hold the polystyrene insert in place inside the spare wheel- any sort of luggage strap would suffice, Unless you were buying the full tool kit insert which includes the strap and screw.

Re. the screw clamp - I think that a lot of VW/Audi models have a larger thread size. Here's some photos:
