cark mobile phone kits

Featured Replies

Has anyone fit a cark mobile phone kit to their vehicle, is it possible to wire it into the head unit in an octavia, instead of using the small speaker that comes with the kit. ( cark 128 ).

It is - it's been done on my vRS (cark126 i think). That was done by a fitter, but there's some info on this page http://www.packetradio.co.uk/Cars/octavia/radio.htm about the connectors on the back of the radio

I have a radio mute kit that sends a mute command to the head unit (Pioneer, rather than standard Skoda stock), and then switches the car speakers over to the output of the car kit. I have a Nokia kit (can't remember model), but I used a dash-mount bracket as well to hold the cradle (supports bluetooth connections as well - but not concurrently to the phone in the cradle).

I fitted my own cark-126 with a telemute lead to my octavia vrs and with a standard head unit. It works nicely and cuts the stereo when a call comes in, only drawback is you dont hear any warning for a message tone.

Its nt hard to fit, the main problem is the lack of space behind the climate control and the stereo to fit the brains for the phone kit and for the telemute lead.

If you have any probs drop me a line and i will give you the supplier details that i used.

I have just fitted a kit for an audi a4 it was a cark-127 (i think with just the bluetooth no, cradle)

Instructions on my website for you mate.
