Remove instrument cluster!

Featured Replies

Hello,

I want to install a GPS Tracker behind the instrument cluster but I have diffeculties removing the instrument cluster.

I have tried to remove the two trim pieces on the side, removed the steering housing upper trim and finally the two screws holding the instrument cluster and still it wont move or come out??

I have tried to read in the workshop manual with no luck and if anyone can help I would really appreciate it and if anyone is willing to film it on their own car I will pay them 20USD with PayPal!

Hello!

You have to remove the 2 bolts under the instrument cluster (circled red on the pictures). You get to those by pulling the plastic with the leather cover (also underneath the instrument cluster) on the bottom sides towards you ( 2 clips). After that, you just need to pull the instrument cluster towards you (out of its sitting possition). I find it easiest to put my whole hand underneath the instrument cluster and just pulling the entire thing. Hope this helps!

Have a nice day,

Voukk

P.S.: You do not have to remove the plastic on the sides of the instrument cluster to get the instrument cluster out.

Do you have to remove the steering wheel and/or do anything with the driver airbag? Accorging to the manual all that should go first but I hope there is an easy way.

I have a terrible rattle in my Scala 2022 coming from behind the instrument cluster. So I hope there is an easy way to get there and maybe locate what is that (sounds like plastic-on-plastic rattle sometimes similar to a cup of Lego)
