Next Years Mitsubishi

oh my god, have the designers got any idea!!!

ha ha ha :D :D :D

Can only assume they want to bring the downforce forward, akin to last years FIA GT morgan.

Would have thought the further back (principle of levers) the spoiler was, the greater effect it would have at the pivot point (rear axle) - maybe it's just unbalanced as they cannot get that sort of downforce at the front.

Difficult to believe any airflow will hit the lower section though.

wrc is a joke now.

not even skoda can be arsed with a full program. touring cars is where its at. 4x4 is for gaylords.

funny that the only 4wd BTCC entry (Audi A4) whupped all the fwd cars on track then?

They gave it a weight penalty, it still won, they gave it more, it still won, they piled even more on until it was not competitive, forcing audi to drop 4wd.

Point proven I think.

i have to agree with u there ian!!

take the tyre'd goat for example, 4x4's rule!! :D :D :D

(awaiting the insults) :argue:

The rear spoiler does add comedy value that's for sure, were they playing "pin-the-spoiler-on-the-wrc-car" when the boss came in and they were forced to leave it where it was?

Reminds me of the funny mid-wing Ferrari 312T4 that ran in Long Beach and Monaco practice in 1979. Or the silly Kauhsen configuration that was tested in the winter of '79. Seems like that particular '79 craze has returned...

(Now, where did I leave those pictures? I could do with some here!)

The front looks like the Astra DTM car!

Did they nick one of the tail fins from one of the planes at duxford?

It looks horrible, might be alright on a fabia though!

Thats a great spoiler  ! The last piccie looks to me like a bench for the kiddies to ride pillion - its even got a second tier for them to rest their feet on :D

Make that Monaco '80...

And late '78...

So not quite the '79 craze I mentioned earlier!

Hmmm , not sure I like that. Personally I think the Evo 6 was the best looking Evo built , and theyve been going downhill ever since. I like the thought of a Colt Evolution tho...if its anything like the 'Tarmac' concept car they showed some time ago , it may be worth a look! IMO Mitsu have missed out on sales for years by not having sporting versions of their cars to milk their WRC championships with! The worst decision they ever made was to import the Carisma instead of the Lancer , a decent Lancer GTi-16V with Recaros and some Evo looking body bits would have been a hot seller in the 90's (and not everyone can run an EVO , but they may be Mitsu fans and rally enthusiasts) but theyd rather sell 1.6 Carismas to pensioners.... Hopefully the tide seems to be turning back to the sporting side of the range , like the late 80s when they had the Lancer ,Colt and Galant in Gti-16V form (not to mention the earlier cars such as the Galant Turbo , Lancer Turbo , Tredia Turbo , Cordia Turbo and the Starion wide body Turbo!)

I really hope thats not how is gonna turn out!!! yikes. Scary. the spoiler is just wrong!! lol.

Is it just me... or do those pictures not look a wee bit 'made up'. dunno, maybe i'm just seeing things :)

It looks wrong enough to be a Group B

but in a totally uncool way.

Well the test car didn't have ARBs or a handbrake.............
